AKnefug oxid wash - Use | Side Effects
Aknefug oxid wash is drug that belongs to the group of medications for the treatment of acne. It contains an active ingredient called benzoyl peroxide. It has antibacterial effect on the skin.
It is used to treat mild forms of acne. Also, it should be avoided in treatment of severe forms of acne.
Aknefug oxid wash should be avoided if you are allergic to the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. Symptoms of allergy include:

Do not touch your eyes when applying this medication. In this case irritation and redness of the eyes can occur.
Aknefug oxid wash solution is designed for use on the skin. Do not swallow solution as throat and stomach could become irritated.
Keep in mind that while using solution your skin would be more sensitive to sunlight (so called photosensitivity). Avoid increased exposure to sunlight while using this remedy.
Do not apply Aknefug to your hair, as it would turn your hair white.
Use during pregnancy and breast feeding
Aknefug oxid wash solution may be used during pregnancy only if the benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the child.
Avoid breastfeeding while using this drug.
How to use
Aknefug oxid wash solution should be applied to the skin 1-2 times a day. The skin should be first washed with soap and water. It should be moist when you apply solution.
Drip 2-3 drops from the tube and with your fingertips, apply to the affected area.
After 3-4 minutes, wash your skin with water.
Keep in mind that it takes at least a month for solution to work. If it does not help you after three months, contact your doctor.
Use with other medications (Interactions)
If you are using other creams, ointments and gels for the skin, tell your doctor, because these products may affect the action of Aknefug oxid wash solution.
Aknefug side effects
Aknefug oxid wash could cause the following side effects:
- dehydration of the skin,
- skin tightening,
- skin redness,
- itching of the skin,
- tingling and allergy.
These side effects are mild and usually retreat quickly after you stop using solution.
