Apex belly melt

Apex belly melt - Dietary Supplement

Apex belly melt is a dietary supplement (over the counter product - OTC), that contains forskolin as an active substance. Forskolin is a chemical compound that is found in the root of a plant called Coleus forskohlii. This plant is grown in India and has been used for hundreds of years in Indian traditional medicine for its beneficial properties on health. Forskolin is used in medicine to treat the following conditions:

  • Allergy
  • Skin disorders (eczema and psoriasis)
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Insomnia
  • Muscle cramps

However, nowadays, forskolin is mostly known for its use in weight loss programs, because it helps with losing belly fat.

Forskolin has many positive effects regarding weight loss:

  • Increases testosterone levels, thus leading to faster metabolism and increased burned energy
  • Helps building muscle and muscle growth
  • Boosts metabolism
  • Helps with burning fats, including those around the belly
  • Improves thyroid function

Does Apex belly melt work?

There is one randomized study showing that Apex belly melt decreases body fat percentage and increases testosterone levels, especially in overweight and obese men.1 However, the effects of forskolin were only tested on 30 men (15 were in the placebo group and 15 men were in the group that was taking forskolin). A study of 30 subjects is too small to make some serious conclusions. This study shows that forskolin and Apex belly melt probably have positive effects on weight loss, but further, larger studies are needed to confirm these effects.

On the other hand, there are numerous studies that have confirmed the effect of forskolin on activation of cyclic AMP in adipocytes (fat cells), which leads to lipolysis (fat degradation).2 Fat degradation leads to a decrease of fat tissue in all parts of the body where the fat is deposited, including belly fat. So, the effect of Apex belly melt on burning belly fat is scientifically proven. It is equally effective for all body types in both men and women.

Activation of cyclic AMP is not only present in fat cells, but also in the heart and blood vessels. Activation of cAMP in these organs causes widening of blood vessels and increased blood flow to the heart. This effect is the reason why Apex belly melt causes some side effects.

It is not a "miraculous weight loss pill" as claimed by the manufacturer, but it is good enough to help you lose belly fat.

When you must not use Apex belly melt

Apex belly melt must not be used in the following patients:

  • Patients suffering from gastric or duodenal ulcer. Use of Apex belly melt in these patients may worsen the symptoms of ulcers.
  • Patients with heart diseases, including:
    • heart attack
    • angina
    • heart failure (cardiac insufficiency)
    • hypotension
Apex belly melt widens your blood vessels and has direct impact on blood flow to the heart, which is why it must be avoided in these patients.

Due to its effect on blood vessels, it can cause hypotension or low blood pressure with accompanied symptoms, such as:

  • nausea
  • loss of consciousness
  • blurred vision
  • pale color of the skin
  • loss of concentration and fatigue.

These adverse effects usually last for couple of hours, then they disappear. However, if they do not disappear after few days, stop using Apex belly melt and contact your doctor.

Apex belly melt may increase hydrochloric acid levels in the stomach, thus leading to heartburn. If you already have digestive disorders, such as gastric or duodenal ulcer, you must not use Apex belly melt.
