Herpeset is a homeopathic product that is used to treat oral herpes. Oral herpes is a viral disease that is most commonly caused by a virus called herpes simplex type 1. Symptoms of this disease include itching, burning, pain, stinging followed by painful blisters (known as cold sores) that appear on or near the mouth. Herpes is one of the most common diseases in America (almost half of Americans experience oral herpes at least once a year) and for now there is no cure for this disease. There are only a number of preparations that can help you alleviate and quickly resolve unpleasant symptoms.

Oral herpes often recurs and on average it occurs once or twice a year.

Herpeset is composed of ingredients approved by the FDA.

Ingredients and Effects of Herpeset

Herpeset contains the following ingredients:

  • Apis mellifica (made from a honeybee).
  • Cayenne pepper.
  • Rhus toxicondendron (poison ivy).
  • Echinacea angustifolia.
  • Baptisia tinctoria (wild indigo).
  • Arsenicum album
  • Dulcamara
  • Nitricum acidum
  • Pyrogenum

Apis mellifica is a homeopathic remedy made from honeybee and is traditionally used to treat numerous dermatological, neurological and gynecological diseases. In a study that examined the effect of this substance on the inflammation process, it has been proven that Apis has a strong inhibitory effect on processes that regulate inflammation and oxidative stress. In brief, Apis has been shown to reduce the inflammation process, which greatly accelerates recovery from oral herpes.

Rhus toxicodendron (also known as poison ivy) is often used to treat muscle and tendon injuries (including tendon ruptures), especially among athletes. It is proven to be effective in the treatment of complex rheumatic and other inflammation diseases, especially if caused by virus. Doctors often prescribe it in the treatment of painful and burning blisters of viral origin that develop on the skin.

In an article published in the British Journal of Phytotherapy, Paul Bergner showed a case report of a patient who used echinacea for the treatment of genital herpes. Echinacea has reduced the recurrence, relieved the pain and reduced the intensity of symptoms.

Studies suggest that Baptista tinctoria can also be effective in treating herpes, but for now there are not enough clinical studies that would, with sufficient statistical power, confirm this claim.

Other ingredients, such as Cayenne pepper and Pyrogenum, have also shown anti-inflammatory effects in numerous clinical studies.

Does Herpeset Really Work?

From scientific point of view, Herpeset is a powerful natural formula that helps with the healing process and reduces unpleasant symptoms.

There are no clinical studies to confirm its efficacy in the treatment of genital herpes, although there are a few reported cases of successful reduction of genital herpes symptoms.

One of the main advantages of this medicine is that it exhibits significantly less side effects than antiviral drugs and has lower potential for major, clinically significant interactions than other antiviral drugs (e.g. valacyclovir).
