ION Z - Precautions | Side Effects
ION Z is an OTC supplement used to improve your cognitive function (thinking, memory and concentration) and contains a combination of chemical substances and herbs. It is commonly used among students in order to help them study. In recent decades, it has been frequently used in elderly patients dealing with dementia. It contains herbs (Siberian ginseng and Bacopa monnieri) which improve nerve nourishment, cerebral blood flow and exert neuroprotective effects, thus leading to better focus, concentration, learning and memory.
Both Siberian ginseng and Bacopa monnieri were the subject of many well-controlled randomized, un-biased, clinical studies, and all studies confirmed their beneficial effects on neurocognitive functions.
In recent research conducted in the USA, it was determined that almost 20% of USA population use some of the brain supplement.
Is that good or not? Well, considering that most of the brain supplements are safe and rarely cause adverse effects, we (our team of doctors) don't have nothing against using a little help for helping you in your daily activities.
On the contrary, these plants exert some other beneficial effects for your health (increased cerebral blood flow and anti-oxidant effect) and may help you with some other health problems.
However, you should be aware that no one medicine works the same for all the patients. In some, ION Z will improve cognitive functions to a much greater extent, while in others, ION Z will barely improve any cognitive functions.
Therefore, when you buy ION Z, you should buy only a one-month supply and see how it works for you. If you are satisfied with the results, feel free to use it 3 months' maximum. After that, you need to take a break and stop using ION Z for month. After one month without taking it, you can continue taking ION Z.
It is not a magic pill and it will not make you smarter. There is no pill that will make you smarter. However, it will help you to be more concentrated/focused on what you are doing and will give you energy to work harder. With an increased concentration, it will help you learn faster. Also, there are reports that ION Z helps students that have trouble remembering what they learned, when they are in an exam.
It should not be used in the following patients:
- Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers
- In patients under the age of 18
- In patients who have had a stroke
Never use alcoholic beverages concurrently with ION Z, as it may decrease its effectiveness.
